Amherstburg Open Air Weekends
Amherstburg Open Air Weekends began during the pandemic as a place for people to feel safe in the open air to dine, shop and support local industry. Every weekend we close down a one block radius to vehicular traffic and along businesses to come onto the streets to extend their footprint. This event began out of necessity but stayed in our community because of the incredible atmosphere it brought to the downtown.
We now have busking musicians, pickle-ball on the street, yoga in the park and yard games just to name a few of the great activities that entertain everyone and bring people together.
Recently awarded “Best Street Festival“ at the Best of Windsor Essex Awards, and “The Most Wonderful Event of the Year” by the Biz X Awards!
The weekly events run from Friday at 3pm until Sunday at 8pm in the downtown core of Amherstburg. Find everything you need in our Open Air streets from craft beer, gourmet popcorn, cotton candy, frozen yogurt, gelato, baked goods to ice cream, satisfy your long awaited craving for delicious drinks and desserts from your favorite Amherstburg eateries.
