Since 1989, the Sun Life Waterloo Busker Carnival has been bringing world-class street performers to Uptown Waterloo for four unforgettable days each August. From acrobats and contortionists to comedians and fire acts, these international performers keep crowds laughing, gasping, and cheering. But the fun doesn’t stop there! The carnival also offers special events, free workshops, thrilling midway rides, Artist Alley with local artisans, and a feast of food trucks. Highlighting the festival, the Compass Minerals Concert on Saturday, August 30, features the renowned Finger Eleven, promising an unforgettable evening of dynamic live music. The weekend features a variety of “Salty” attractions including the Compass Minerals Above Ground Salt Experience and Mine Rescue Demonstrations along with the Goderich Tourism Virtual Reality Mine Images, Videos and Selfie Stations, and more. For family fun, the Royal Lepage Heartland Realty petting zoo, wagon rides, and a family photo booth will be back along with the Parrish and Heimbecker Inflatables! This year’s festival emphasizes celebrating local salt heritage through food, music, and culture. The 27th Annual Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle is a non-profit, award-winning blues and jazz festival held in Port Credit, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The three-day outdoor festival features three stages at Port Credit Memorial Park, presenting 60 bands from across Canada and beyond, including over 20 local acts during its free Saturday afternoon street party, the LIUNA Local 183 Street Shuffle, held in the village from 1 to 5 P.M. Supercrawl Productions is a not-for-profit organization which presents the annual Supercrawl festival on James Street in Hamilton on the second weekend of September each year. Every year the festival welcomes close to 300,000 people into Hamilton’s downtown core with an economic impact of over $20 million. Supercrawl is a free, three-day arts and music street festival which celebrates the cultures, businesses and creative people in Hamilton's downtown core. Road closures along James Street allow for a variety of programming, including three music stages, art installations, fashion runway, theatre, dance, theatre, author talks, active zone, family zone, street vendors and food trucks.

Spend the day and enjoy a rural experience.  Listed as a Top 100 Festival in Ontario (10 years) and winner of the 2018 #GoodTimesinBrant award, St. George Apple Fest is an affordable family outing.  There is everything apple - homemade pies, fresh apples, apple dumplings, apple cider, candied apples. Over 130 vendors display crafts from near and far produce a kaleidoscope of colour as you roam the streets and parks.  Local farm markets display an array of fresh produce and delicious preserves.  Check out our local retail stores for unique gifts and décor.
