Carassauga Festival is an incorporated non-profit volunteer community organization celebrating multiculturalism since 1985.  The festival is a family-oriented event that promotes the sharing of cultures, community, and people. As an annual festival, serving as one of the region’s major entertainment events, visitors are given an opportunity to learn and explore multiple cultures in an authentic engaging fashion. Carassauga partners with various local cultural groups to host Pavilion locations. During the weekend, guests visit multiple pavilions and learn about the richness of each culture through displays and interactive activities, while tasting ethnic foods, watching various performances and artisans. The festival will take place May 24 to 25, 2025, at 7 locations throughout the City of Mississauga.  All locations are accessible by riding on our free shuttle service. The hours of the festival are Saturday from 12pm to 11pm and Sunday 12pm to 7pm. The festival offers both indoor (community rinks, halls) and outdoor (parking lot, tents) locations that showcase 23 cultural pavilions. Our cultural pavilions will highlight this anniversary with special performances, displays and interactive activities that show their communities contributions to the multicultural fabric of the city. The outdoor area features 5 cultural pavilions in tents, an outdoor stage, kids zone area with Midway Rides and activities, food trucks and community vendors. The indoor areas will feature 18 cultural pavilions with 11 stages, 100s of vendors, displays, photo booths and décor. Our programming offers 18 hours of entertainment by over 2500 local, national, international artists comprised of live bands, dance groups, singers, musicians, actors and poets. Additionally, we offer cultural learnings through displays and storytelling, artisans’ hands on activities, a variety of food demonstrations with sampling, dance lessons and craft activities.  The admission (passport) cost is $15 per person, kids 12 and under are free. Admission includes unlimited entry to all locations, access to live entertainment, food vendors, kids’ activities and free transportation on all MiWay (Mississauga Transit) buses and Carassauga shuttle buses during the festival hours.
