Ashley Chappell is an experienced event management professional with a strong background in Special Events, Recreation programming, and Cultural Facility management. Currently, as the Supervisor of Special Events & Programming for the City of Barrie, she plays a key role in planning and executing large-scale events, such as the Barrie Airshow and National Day of Truth & Reconciliation, that foster engagement, tourism, and cultural vibrancy. 

With over 20 years of experience as an event professional and community programming, Ashley previously held several leadership roles in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, including Recreation Supervisor, Cultural Facility Supervisor, and Acting Manager of Culture & Community Services. Her expertise spans event logistics, risk management, sponsorship relationship management, and stakeholder collaboration. 

Passionate about creating engaging experiences, Ashley continuously works to enhance the special events landscape, ensuring vibrant, inclusive, and well-organized celebrations for the community.
