ABOUT THE EVENT / PROMOTION
Canada's Largest Free Music Festival! Burlington’s renowned Sound of Music Festival is returning to the city’s Downtown core.
Live performers, street vendors, great food and carnival rides are on tap for the beloved music festival, along with outdoor patios and sidewalk sales.
The Sound of Music Festival boasts over 300,000 excited attendees each year from far and wide, and this summer, the event will be bigger and better than ever.
As always, music will take centre stage, with live performances taking place throughout all nine days of the festival. Running from June 11 to 19, a series of acts have already been announced, featuring a mix of new and emerging artists, local and international talent, and old favourites. Taking top billing will be big names such as Black Stone Cheery, Fuel, The Trews, The Tea Party, The Washboard Union, High Valley, Skid Row and Bif Naked.
The Sound of Music Festival has exploded in size since its modest beginnings in 1980 as a marching band parade. Operating as a not-for-profit corporation, the organization now boasts Canada's largest free music festival.
Thanks to the passion and commitment of hundreds of volunteers, a small staff, and a roster of generous sponsors and suppliers, the Sound of Music Festival brings stellar tunes and good vibes to Downtown Burlington and the waterfront.
