Come to Memorial Park on August 13th to experience the Port Hope Arts Festival - a free-flowing celebration of community and art in all forms!

The Port Hope Arts Festival is back for 2022!

Join us in Memorial Park on August 13th for a fun, free celebration of community and art in all forms!

The daytime portion of our in-person Arts Festival will take place between 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m, featuring a 10-Minute Play Series, Art Around Town, an outdoor vendor market, wagon rides, activities for the kids and a community gathering in the park.

The Hon. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario is coming to Port Hope and will be in Memorial Park at 10:30 a.m. to kick off the Festival from the bandshell.

An assortment of community groups will be set up in Memorial Park offering interactive activities and displays. The outdoor vendor market will be sprawling, with the Port Hope Farmers Market in Town Hall parking lot, a local artisan vendors on the back lawn of Town Hall and an assortment of makers set up in the Lakeland Parking lot.

The 10-Minute Play Series has been expanded to feature 8 shows. There will be 6 10-Minute Plays, a Storytime for kids and one live Reading. The diverse program boasts the work of Canadian playwrights and talents of regional actors at various outdoor venues centralized in downtown Port Hope. There will be plays produced, on the hour and on the half hour, throughout the day from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 .p.m.  

The evening portion of the event will begin at dusk with an outdoor movie, showing the documentary film, Long Time Running.
