ABOUT THE EVENT / PROMOTION

Guelph Musicfest presents the FESTIVAL TRIO with violinist Sadie Fields, cellist Paul Pulford and pianist Ken Gee at Grace United Church in Thornbury (former home of the Collingwood Chamber Music Society). This remarkable concert pairs Vivaldi’s famous Four Seasons with the truly “cool” Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Piazzolla. Hear Sadie perform as soloist in the Vivaldi after captivating European audiences with her performances there. It features an original arrangement of the orchestra music for piano and cello. The Piazzolla is transcribed for piano trio and will have you rocking to the music. This concert is the first of a 2-concert series, including THE ROARING 20s on November 15. The concert begins at 3 pm.

Violinist Sadie Fields is on tour from Brussels, Belgium, where she is in demand as a soloist and elite chamber music player. She performs frequently as a soloist and is a member of the Bryggen and Flash string ensembles. She recently joined the renowned Edinburgh String Quartet.

Pianist Ken Gee founded and continues to direct Guelph Musicfest, an annual 5-concert chamber music festival that takes place in May and June but now presents "encore" concerts in November in Guelph as well as at Grace United Church in Thornbury (former home of the Collingwood chamber music society).
