Día de los Muertos Downtown Kitchener

Join us on Saturday, November 2, 2024, for a Day of the Dead celebration in Downtown Kitchener. Day of the Dead (Día de Los Muertos) is a celebration of Mexican and Latin American culture where people welcome back the souls of their deceased loved ones. Participate in a cultural parade along King Street East, dance to lively mariachi tunes, savour traditional Mexican treats like pan de muerto and toast, and honour those that have passed with signature drinks and beautifully decorated altars. It’s a celebration for all ages, bursting with colourful costumes, art, food, drink and joyful remembrance.
This free, family-friendly event with performances and activities happening all day (9 am – 10 pm) in various locations throughout Downtown Kitchener.

• 12 pm – 5 pm (Speaker’s Corner, King/Benton St)
• 3 pm – 8 pm (Vogelsang Green, Queen/Duke St)
