Shane Sargant possessed a post graduate diploma in Special Events and a diploma in Tourism Management. Along with his education, Shane worked over 25 years in the field of Tourism, Community Development, Culture and Recreation.
Shane was a great ambassador for Clearview Township and Small Halls Festival. He received many awards and recognition for his work which included the Small Halls Festival winning “Best New Festival or Event” by FEO in 2015, Best Promotional Campaign” in 2016 and a finalist for “Tourism Event of the Year” in 2016 by TIAO.
As an event planner for Sauble Beach, he developed the 24 weeks of Summer at Sauble including Tuesday night street dances, Canada Day and the three day Sandfest and Car show event.
In the Niagara Region, Shane created and implemented several outstanding events such as The Tim Hortons Sportsfest, Subway Sunplash Beach Festival, Daredevil Days, Springlicious, Zehrs Food Fest. He helped shape the Port Colborne Canal Days Heritage Marine Festival into the successful festival it is today.
Shane managed major National Tours including the Jim Beam National Volleyball Tour, the Triple Crown national 3 on 3 Basketball tour and the Baurer Hockey Tour.
