Employed by the City of Windsor Department of Parks and Recreation for over 35 years, Walt Metulynsky has been a leader in community special events and festivals for nearly 30 years. He is currently working as the Project Manager for the 2013 Windsor-Essex International Children's Games.
Walt’s professional background includes Recreation, Arena and Facility Management and Horticulture. He is a certified Special Events Coordinator and Special Events Manager and has served as an industry certification evaluator. He has also served as a consultant for the Skills Solutions Group, which conducted a re-evaluation of the special events/festival industry certification processes and skills measurement tools.
A proud member of FEO since 1988, and a three-term member of the FEO Board of Directors, serving on the Executive Committee as Treasurer for the past 4 years, and works on the following Board Portfolios: Education (Post Secondary Institutions), and Membership (Networks).
