Session Title: Event Management 101

Session Description: Event management involves implementing the foundational principles of planning, organizing, and executing events. We will discuss the significance of strategic planning and budgets, volunteers and staff, risk management, and overall balance in ensuring the success of an event. We will explore various types of events, learning to tailor their approaches while recognizing common elements across different event categories. Through hands-on experiences and guidance, attendees will add to their practical skills in venue selection, logistics coordination, and on-site management, preparing them to create memorable and well-executed events using a critical path.

4 Expected Learning Outcomes for Attendees

  1. Attendees will gain a further understanding of the foundational principles of event management, including strategic planning, budgeting,and risk management, enhancing their overall expertise.
